Time Management is key!
Time Management is such an individual thing, everybody has to find what works for them. There are so many tips, guides, and opinions on the topic that its just way too overwhelming. I am no expert. I am still trying to figure it all out myself, but don't worry -- it may take a while.
8 weeks into my first semester, I am still figuring out what works and what doesn’t. Something that doesn't work is reading every single word of the textbook. If you read the textbook from cover to cover, you are setting yourself up for disaster and I learned that the hard way.
Another things that slowly creeps up on you is procrastination. In college, procrastination is like the devil: it seems good at first but at the end of the day, it always bites you in the butt. DO NOT listen to that little voice in your head that tells you to do it tomorrow, NO! Do it NOW while you have the time because tomorrow will bring it’s own struggles.

All in all, prioritizing is crucial. Is pulling an "all-nighter" to play Grand Theft Auto V more important than studying for tomorrow’s test? You tell me.
Some people are able to do everything at the last minute and still succeed but for the rest of us who are actually human, we must effectively manage our time to get everything done in a timely fashion.
“To know yourself, you must first sacrifice the illusion that already you do.”
